She was predeceased by: her parents, Jefferson Davis and Ruth Davis; her husband Ernest Albert Godwin, Sr.; her children, Patricia Moran and Ernest A. Godwin, Jr.; and her siblings, Alton Jordan, Angela Davis, Arthur Davis, Elsie Hites, Jefferson Davis, Jr. and Ruth Strong.
She is survived by: her sons, Anthony "Bobby" Godwin, Vincent Godwin (Lois) and Darryl Godwin (Kathleen); her grandchildren, Keisha Jones, Leah Godwin, Myron Godwin, Ericka Godwin, Kyle Godwin, Darryl Godwin, Jr., Danielle Godwin and Allen Godwin; her great grandchildren, Maya Jones and Che Mullins; and her siblings, Daisy Bynum, Francis Lowd, Carolyn Davis, Paula Johnson, William Henry Davis, Clinton Davis, Roosevelt Davis and Bernard Davis.
