He is survived by: his daughter Charlotte L. Atkins (Gwendolyn); and his siblings, Hurley Wellons Jr., Marie Porter, Christine Porter, Geraldine Wellons, Bernice Ware, Cheryl Pittman and Stephanie Wellons. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
