It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Henrietta Chapman Gwaltney of Smithfield, Virginia, who passed away on January 17, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius Darden Gwaltney and Henrietta Chapman Gwaltney of Smithfield. She is survived by: her children, Christine Christian Bearden of Lumberville, PA and Keith Gwaltney Christian of Bernardsville, NJ; her grandchildren, Katherine Bearden Knight, Steven Bearden, William Bearden, Caroline Bearden Ontiveros, Cole Christian and Hanna Christian; and her great grandchildren, Christian Ontiveros, Charlotte Bearden and McKinney Knight.
