It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Florence Godwin Robbins of Smithfield, Virginia, who passed away on December 24, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Webb "Onions" Robbins. She is survived by: her daughters, Marie Johnson (Tim), Anne Little (Bobby) and Evelyn Levine (Tom); and her grandchildren, Cathy Brown (Mike), Susan Mathias Tiffany Moore (Kevin), Judson Little (Kaitlin), Brandi Hobbs (Daniel), Anneliese Woodall (Neil) and Mammaw.

Proper face coverings and social distancing guidelines will be upheld.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to one of Florence's long supported institutions, Isle of Wight Academy, Trinity United Methodist Church, Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, or the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department, would be much appreciated.

“Florence and “Onions” both were long time close friends of my mother and father, Freddie and Virginia Chapman. The loss of Florence lessens those who remember the same things that I do. I well remember when all three girls were born...such a nice family! I well remember Florence’s mom and dad, Mr. & Mrs. John Godwin. They were wonderful. This group of girls, their spouses and grandchildren looked after Florence as we Chapman’s looked after ours. The most I can say is that I am sad. F. Chapman”
