Fay B Major Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 27, 2025, at the age of 88, Fay B Major of Smithfield, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Fay is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Fay's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Eugene Bennett and Beulah Disher Bennett; and her husband Benjamin Edward Major, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Jeffers (Scott), Pixie Jones (Windy), Ben Major, III (Laura) and Gene Major (Julie). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; ten great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Smithfield Baptist Church (100 Wainwright Dr, Smithfield, VA 23430). A reception was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 at 4:45 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smithfield Baptist Church Operation Christmas Child or a charity of your choice.
