With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Essie Lee White (Smithfield, Virginia), who passed away on March 14, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Linwood Edwards and Mattie Edwards; her siblings, Robert Lee Edwards and Martha Newby; her son Randy L. White; and her great grandchild TyQuan Johnson.
She is survived by: her cousin Essie Lee White; her husband Melvin L. White; her children, Melvin M. White (Evon), Kenneth D. White (Melvanette), Kelvin L. White (Carol) and Angela W. Luster (Carlton); her grandchildren, Katina White, Marvett White, Reginald Crudup, Staci Blizzard, Kendra Berry, Tiffany White, Kevin White, Keon White, Kenneth White, Jr., Desman Grain, Montel White, Korey White, Kailah White, Mechelle Luster and Jessica Luster; and her siblings-in-law, Ralph White (Martha), Melvin Saunders, Shirley Robinson (William), Jean White and Lucille White. She is also survived by eighteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
From there, she went on to work for Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
