We are sad to announce that on October 26, 2021, at the age of 75, Elmer John Godfrey III of Smithfield, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer John Godfrey, Jr. and Nellie Beale Godfrey Bateman. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Winslow Godfrey; his children, Shannon Godfrey Ferguson (Craig) and Elmer John Godfrey, IV (Ayca); his grandchildren, Melody Ferguson Fernaays (Sean), Hunter Coulbourn Ferguson, Dilara Anne Godfrey and Elmer John Godfrey; and his great grandchildren, Nellie Lucille Fernaays, Isabel Grace Fernaays and Lily Mae Fernaays.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, P O Box 97, Smithfield, VA 23431.
