He was predeceased by: his parents, Julia Dorsey Hardy and Nicolas Spratley Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Ann Dorsey of Surry, VA; his children, Bryan L. Dorsey (Bowie, MD) and Deborah D. Dorsey; his stepson Ryan Edwards (Huntingtown, MD); his grandchildren, Bryona Dorsey, Brandon Dorsey, Nancy Riddick and Bryan Edwards; his great grandchildren, Niyla Dorsey and Malia Edwards; his siblings, Wallace Dorsey, Delores Dorsey, Linda Dorsey and Nicolas Spratley Jr. (Katheran); his in-laws, Cornelius Drew (Eliza), Vergena Harper (Jerome), Dennis Drew, Karen Bouden (Lorraine) and Johnette Edwards; and his caregivers, Nicole Hardy, Monee Pierre, Venisha Ames, Arthur Diggs and Mack. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shivers Funeral Chapel (12749 Courthouse Hwy, Smithfield, VA 23430). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Gravel Hill Baptist Church (5230 Old Stage Hwy, Smithfield, VA 23430).
