It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris H. Uzzle (Smithfield, Virginia), born in Isle of Wight, Virginia, who passed away on September 12, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Savage and Eunice Edwards Savage; her significant other Elton Uzzle; her daughter Frayanda "Phyllis" Freeman; and her brothers, Gene Savage, Albert Savage and Edwin Savage.
She is survived by: her sons, Elton Uzzle Jr. (Joy) and Maverick Uzzle (Maria); her siblings, Janice Davis, Pheanie Chapman, Brenda Savage and Ernest Savage; and her caregiver Robin Coleman. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; a host of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
