With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Deacon Joshua W. Wilson of Smithfield, Virginia, who passed away on February 4, 2022 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Wilson and Nannie Wilson. He is survived by: his children, Dr. Helen W. Taylor and Alvin W. Wilson; his sisters, Elizabeth Savage, Lucy Butler and Rev. Marian J. Johnson; his grandchildren, Kathleen Taylor Godwin, Alvin "Webb" Wilson and O'Neal Barry Taylor, Jr.; and his sisters-in-law, Pearl Tappins, Jean Jones, Vivian Price and Grace Scott. He is also survived by loving great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Because of COVID-19, all CDC protocols will be practiced.
