He is survived by: his daughters, Kerry McDowney, Kiauna Batten (Pooh Bear) of Smithfield and Quiena Alexander (Ki Ki) of Suffolk; his siblings, Rev. Delores Wooten of Carrollton, Mable Taliaferro of Carrollton, Illinous Batten of Kentucky and Floyed Batten of Smithfield; his sisters-in-law, Katherine Lewis of Washington, DC and Ann Smallwood of Newport News; and his grandchildren, Lashay Trower, Donzell Roberts Jr. (DJ) of Smithfield, Joshua Batten (Josh), Carrington Batten (Kitty) of Smithfield, Quiera Wright and Cornelius Alexander of Suffolk. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
