It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Simmons Wilbourne of Skipwith, Virginia, who passed away on November 14, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nonnie E. Simmons and Virgie Crutchfield Simmons; her husband Luther Snead Wilbourne; her daughter Joan W. Tuck; her siblings, Mildred Simmons Colgate, Shirley Wood, James Henry Simmons and W. L. "Bill" Simmons; her grandson Benjamin Snead Tuck; and her son-in-law Lane Tuck.
She is survived by: her sons, William T. Wilbourne of Chesterfield and David A. Wilbourne (Sandra) of Skipwith; her grandchildren, Michelle Barnes (Darell) of Clarksville, Scottie Elliott (Stacy) of Virgilina, Sarah Bowen (Seth) of Skipwith, Stacey Wilbourne (Marie) of Powhatan, Adam Wilbourne of Clarksville, Dan Wilbourne (Melissa) of Skipwith and Ryan Wilbourne (Lindsey) of Mosely, VA; and her caregivers, Anne King, Sandra Inge, Barbara Royster, Phyllis Dixon, Vernell Elam Smith and Jean Pugh. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
