It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Dean Taylor of Skippers, Virginia, who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Shelley Taylor and Ann Taylor; and his brother Todd Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Shirley C. Taylor; his children, Stacey Fossey (Stuart), Justin Taylor (Kira) and Jason Taylor (Jamie); his grandchildren, Joshua Taylor, Jackson Taylor, Joseph Taylor (Alexis), Ryanne Frock (Joseph) and Dillon Taylor; and his nephew Chris Taylor (Tracey).
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Home (303 S Halifax Rd, Jarratt, VA 23867). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the National D-Day Memorial Foundation located in Bedford, VA (http://www.dday.org).
