He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Stroop and Gertrude Sheldon Fulk Stroop; his spouse Margie Ann Hill; his daughter Joyce Ann Stroop; and his siblings, Clarence Stroop, Glen Stroop, Lewis Stroop Jr., Mabel Stroop Whetzel and Frances Hill.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Stroop Stultz (Carl) of Rockingham and Roy; his sisters, Rachel Whetzel, Ruby Patterson, Donna Cubbage and Shirley Keister; and his grandchildren, Chad Stultz (Cassie Hess), Jade Smith (Jamie Collins), Ashley Stroop (Andrew Masincup), Blake Stroop, Justin Lambert (Stacy Johnson) and Shalana Lambert (Corrie Wynn).
