He was predeceased by: his parents, Timothy Oliver and Ruth Deputy (Weaver); his wife Lelia Eberly; and his siblings, Lowell "Buck" Deputy, Margaret Lehman, Emily Deputy and Mary Ellen Deputy.
He is survived by: his children, Ronald Deputy Jr. (Young Kim Deputy) of Indian Trail, NC, Reba Deputy Heizer (David) of Fairfield, VA, Anthony Deputy of Singers Glen and Raleigh Deputy (Shandra Matters Deputy) of Rockingham; his brother Merlin Deputy (Jackie); his grandchildren, Benjamin Heizer, Leah Heizer, Emily Heizer, Levi Heizer, Matthew Deputy and Megan Deputy Cooper; and his siblings-in-law, Peggy Deputy and Mark Lehman. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
