With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Monterey Remone Helmick of Singers Glen, Virginia, who passed away on January 27, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James William and Alice Pauline Helmick; and his siblings, Hayden Helmick, Vic Helmick, Tuney Helmick, Betty Shirley, Thelma Ayers and Alfreda Leatherman.
He is survived by: his wife Lucy Funkhouser Helmick; his children, Monty Helmick (Monica) of Harrisonburg, Susan Lloyd (Kevin) of Singers Glen and Davy Polk (Teri) of New Market; his grandchildren, Cody Polk (Jenna) and Britny Polk (Kyle); his stepgrandchildren, Dustin Lloyd, Derek Lloyd (Taylor), Micah Lloyd and Ben Lloyd; his great grandchildren, Parker Litten and Oliver Polk; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Brennan Lloyd and Ana Lloyd. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
