He was predeceased by: his father Stanley Wayne Small; his stepfathers, Rick Lambert and Glenn Fitzgerald; his grandmother Geraldine Bradds; and his great-aunt Jewel Trainum.
He is survived by: his mother Debra Kay Fitzgerald (Bradds); his stepchildren, Hunter Morris, Ty Thornton and Ashley Adkins; his daughter Haidyn Thornton; his siblings, Jeffrey Small, Lucinda "Sissy" Small and Samantha Lambert; his stepgrandchildren, Bentley, Avery, Axel and Maverick; and his close friends, Brittany Bayne, Josh Johnson and Jeremy Tabor.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401). A celebration of life was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Coffman Funeral Home Chapel (230 Frontier Dr, Staunton, VA 24401).
