She was predeceased by: her parents, Vonley B. Shields and Lula F. Shields; her husband Charles Roy Drake; her brother William Edward Shields; and her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Barineau Drake (Libby).
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Kay Drake (Samuel L. Woodward) of Charleston, SC and Charles Roy Drake Jr. (Bonnie J. Paulsen) of Winchester, VA; and her siblings, Betty S. Phillips, Charles P. Shields, Leonard W. Shields, James A. Shields and John L. Shields. She is also survived by five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
