It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah Jane Morris Samuels of Shenandoah, Virginia, who passed away on October 18, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Morris and Sarah Parkinson Morris; her grandson Roy D. Smith III; her siblings, Amanda Samuels, Larry Morris and Richard Morris; and her husband Calvin Carson Samuels.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sarah L. Stroupe (Steve) of Penn Laird, Anita R. Taylor, Shenandoah, Crystal L. Poe (Robert) of Woodstock and Jennifer G. Samuels (Buck Turner) of Lacey Springs; her siblings, Charles "Bill" "Chuck" Morris (Karen) of Elkton, Johnny Morris (Annette) of Stanley, Rose Lam (Billy) of Elkton, Lucille Shifflett (Allen) of Elkton and Darlene Morris of Elkton; her grandchildren, Jason S. Samuels (Brittany), Brittany Samuels (Anthony Powell), Jordan Royer (Alexis Brown), Blake Royer, Matt Breeden, Heather Breeden (Wes) and Taelor Poe Smith; and her great grandchildren, Tyler Breeden, Jaden Meadows and Adalynn Royer. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Samuels was born October 18, 1948 in Pennsylvania and was the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah Parkinson Morris.
