She was predeceased by: her parents, David Ernest and Mary Gertrude Henderson McAlister; and her siblings, David Leonard McAlister, Melvin Earl McAlister, Huey B. McAlister Sr. and Elizabeth G. Hensley.
She is survived by: her children, Pattie Rae Stanley of Shenandoah, Martha Ellen Holmes (Donald) of Texas, Michelle Williams (Danny) of Shenandoah, Kenneth Scott Breeden of Luray, James Warren McAlister of Shenandoah and Lewis Dennis of Luray. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Although she loved her flowers dearly, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shenandoah Fire Department, 201 Pennsylvania Ave, Shenandoah, VA 22849.
