He is survived by: his wife Rosa Inez Diaz; his children, Joseph V. DeRosario, Jr. (Morgan Brannan), Jose Rosa and Michelle Crider (Dean); and his brothers, Jimmy DeRosario, Bobby DeRosario, Frankie DiRosario and Michael DeRosario. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
