He was predeceased by: his parents, Irving James and Cecil Ida Ferrell (Lam); his wife Louise; and his sisters, Belva Johnson and Mabel Ferrell.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Merica (Ronnie), Nancy Berry (Greg), Michele Ferrell and Michael Ferrell (Lora); his grandchildren, Whitney Merica (Tyler), Brianna Berry (Dayne), Savannah Gentry (Casey), Tyler Berry, Michael Ferrell, Maggie Anderson, Ronnie Merica (Lauren) and Noah Ferrell; and his great grandchildren, Kendall, Peyton, Xander, Landon, Huxley, Gracelynn and Luke.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home - Elkton (115 Nicholson Rd, Elkton, VA 22827). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Furnace Church (19836 Naked Creek Rd, Elkton, VA 22827).
