She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd "Porky" Grimsley and Reba Lam Grimsley; her siblings, Donald Grimsley, Marie Comer and Mildred Latimer; her nephew Bobby Comer; and her husband James Franklin Payne.

She is survived by: her niece Susie Comer; her great-nieces, Denise Cave and Vanessa Foreman; and her stepchildren, Paula Burton, John Payne and Jimmy Payne.
