He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul McHone and Ola Pearl Walls McHone; and his sisters, Joyce McHone and Louise Lenze. He is survived by: his father-in-law Pastor Naff; his wife Clara McHone; his children, Teresa Meadows (Michael) and Richard McHone (Cherie); his grandchildren, Brittney McNeill (Lee), Morgan Watts (Jon), Annalyse McHone and Aija McHone; his great grandchildren, Gracelyn, Lydia and Madilyn; and his siblings, Bobby McHone (Rita), Mary Froehler (Bruce), Sandra Sutphin (Eddie), Sharon Dooley (CH) and Paula Lineberry (Bill).

The family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Shawsville Rescue Squad or to Mountain Top Missions Church.
