It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ricky Hugh Helvey of Shawsville, Virginia, who passed away on March 15, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Helvey, Sr. and Marie Helvey; and his brothers, Jordan and Roger Helvey. He is survived by: his wife Diane Roop Helvey; his son Ricky Lee Helvey (Tracy); his stepchildren, Angel Roop Gillis, Joseph Roop (Jennifer) and Delbert Harrison (Angie); his siblings, Everett Helvey, Jr. and Brenda Helvey; his grandchildren, Madison Helvey, Dusty Roop, Michael Roop, Caitlin Roop, Cody Roop, Brandon Petrey and Matthew Wetzel; his great grandchildren, Liam Payne and Ava Petrey; and also Ester Ann Yopp. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, special friend.
