She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Rupe and Helen Rupe; her siblings, Henry "June" Rupe and Diane Murdock; and her daughter Kim "Kimmie" Rakes.
She is survived by: her husband George W. "Bill" Rakes; her siblings, Beatrice Linkous and Donald "Tony" Rupe; her children, Lisa Shepherd, Billy Rakes, Hope and Shawn Rakes; her grandchildren, Amber Perdue (Daniel), Josh Rakes (Chelsea), Megan Hopkins and William Rakes; and her great grandchildren, Paisley, Piper Perdue, Steven, Macy Rakes, John, Theo and Caroline Hopkins.
