He is survived by: his children, Shirley Queen (Mike) of Gastonia, NC, Janice Chumbley (Dave) and Ronald Smith (Pamela); his daughter-in-law Mary Smith of Christiansburg, VA; his grandchildren, Dale Smith (Jennifer), Katie, Megan Smith and Hannah Queen; his great grandchild Cody Smith; his brother John "Johnny" Smith (Lessie) of Gretna, VA; and his nephew Jerry Brammer (Sally).
