He was predeceased by: his parents, James Sullivan and Lucy Sullivan; his daughter Cynthia Ann Sullivan; and his siblings, James A. Sullivan, Jr, Flossie Dortzbach, Ruby Coates and Dorothy Weaver.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Woolard Sullivan; his nieces and nephews, Linda Lewis, Jean White, Deborah Gordon, Becky, Thom Davis, Carlie and Noel Woolard; and his sister-in-law Hazel Woolard Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jerusalem Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 8800 Historyland Highway, Warsaw, VA 22572.
