She was predeceased by: her husband Robert "Bobby" Kemp; her parents, Alfred Carter and Vernelle Carter; and her brother Arthur Lewis Carter. She is survived by: her daughter Bobbie Jo Jones; and her grandchildren, Carter Jones, Kemp, Baylor Jones and Brent Carter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Indian Rivers Humane Society, PO Box 264, Aylett, VA 23009.
