He was predeceased by: his brothers, Lucas Carlton and Thomas Carlton. He is survived by: his wife Elsie Thurston; his sons, Steven Thurston (Sherry) and David Thurston; his grandchildren, Ashley Thurston and Trevor Thurston; and his siblings, Lillian South, Virginia Easter, Edna Waxmunski, Gene Thurston and Nita Bunting. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
