It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bessie Daniel Guthrie of Shacklefords, Virginia, who passed away on November 8, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her daughter Margaret Euline Guthrie; her parents, Louis S. Daniel Sr. and Olivia Daniel; and her brother George Daniel. She is survived by: her husband Paul A. Guthrie, Sr.; her children, Faith Silva and Paul A. Guthrie, Jr. (Anna); and her brothers, Louis Daniel Jr., Gene Daniel and Ron Tappen. She is also survived by four grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of your choice.
