She was predeceased by: her husband Pastor Sidney Mays; her daughter Judy Booth; her granddaughter B. J. Smith; and her son-in-law Lawrence Williams. She is survived by: her children, Donna Mays, Ann Williams, Bonnie Hayton (Chris) and Allen Mays of Marion; her sister Eleanor "Bucky" Richmond; and her grandchildren, Tonya, Tyann, Kristi (Todd), Shawn (Becky), Jeremy (Heather), Les (Amy), Ashley (Lance), Ryan and Alexus. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
