It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernice Eileen Worley of Seven Mile Ford, Virginia, born in Saltville, Virginia, who passed away on April 28, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Merle Jackson Worley; her parents, Hilmore Burgess and Lula Doane Burgess; and her siblings, Freda Burgess and Stanley Burgess.
She is survived by: her daughters, Carolyn Dianne Worley Phelps (Charles Phelps) of Bluff City, Tenn, Teresa Kay Poe of Saltville, Joan Marlene Worley of Chilhowie and Darla Sue Worley Goodman (Peyton Goodman) of Walkers Creek; her siblings, Charlotte Jones, Betty Buchanan, Harold Burgess and David Carson Burgess; her grandchildren, Daniel Poe, Christopher Counts, Melanie Williams (Keith), Leslie Austin, Todd Austin, Alicia Phelps, Tara Colada and Mina Goodman; her great grandchildren, Aspen Poe, Forest Carlosh, Lena Austin, Tyler Austin, Liam Rutter, Jimmy McCarraher, Tori Barbrow, Lilyana Poe and Jaylein Wimmer; and her great great grandchild Maia Rose Bentley.
