He was predeceased by: his parents, Smith Hamm and Anna V. Hamm; and his sister Judith Golden. He is survived by: his wife Janet Purcell Hamm; his daughters, Chief Warrant Officer (Retired) and Julie Harris (Paul); his grandchildren, Seaman Recruit Kylie Dryden, Taylor Harris and Garrett Harris; and his siblings-in-law, Shirley Howard (Robert) and Bobby Golden. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
