It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Virginia Lumpkin (Scottsville, Virginia), born in Buckingham, Virginia, who passed away on March 20, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy McCraw and Pearl Hudgins McCraw; her husband Hollis Nelson Lumpkin Jr.; and her siblings, Dancy McCraw, Anna LeSueur, Blanche Ownby and Pauline Stimpson.

She is survived by: her sister Grace Ownby of Elizabeth City; her children, Marlean Davis (Richard) of Fluvanna County and Hollis Lumpkin, III (Bonnie) of Scottsville; her grandchildren, Michael Lumpkin (Candace) of Loganville, Andrew Davis of Charlottesville and Kathlean Davis of Richmond; and her great grandchildren, Jackson, Alaina and Griffin Lumpkin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family members as well as a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Scottsville Volunteer Fire Department: PO Box 381, Scottsville, VA 24590 or to the SPCA: 3355 Berkmar Drive, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
