It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel Newton of Scottsville, Virginia, who passed away on July 20, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Asa Newton and Gladys Newton (Duncan); his son Earl Newton; his son-in-law Charles Napier; and his siblings, Henry Newton, Dora Newton and Virginia Jamerson.
He is survived by: his wife Marie; his children, Gwen Napier and Shannon (JoAnn Newton); his daughter-in-law Gloria Newton; his granddaughters, Heather (Rich Morrison) and Erica (Jason Hamilton); and his brother Bobby Newton of Quinton, VA. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
