As Ruby departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Ruby. Though Ruby may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Paul Pippin and Myrtle O'Brien Pippin; her husband James E. Thompson; and her daughter Janice Faye Thompson. She is survived by: her daughters, June Lilly, Sandra Clore (Gary) of Scottsville and Judy Rosson (Jim) of Palmyra. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and nineteen great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (4422 Antioch Rd, Scottsville, VA 24590).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Antioch Baptist Church building fund.
