She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Gentry and Blanche Gentry (Sprouse); her husband Samuel Newton; her son Earl Newton; her son-in-law Charles Napier; and her siblings, Raymond, Jr., Carl, Alvin, Clifford, Dora Jones and Lillie Mae Bush.
She is survived by: her children, Gwen Napier and Shannon (JoAnn Newton); her daughter-in-law Gloria Newton; and her granddaughters, Heather Morrison (Rich) and Erica Hamilton (Jason).
