Rodney Lewis Shumaker Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rodney Lewis Shumaker of Scottsville, Virginia, who passed away on August 3, 2022 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Lewis and Ruth Shumaker (McGuire); his aunts and uncles, Russell, John, Paul, Bennie, David Lee, Jimmie, Ralph McGuire, Evelyn Plum, Katherine Heeter, Ellen Johnson, Margaret Duncan and Shirley Hughes; and his brother-in-law David Miller.

He is survived by: his son Brian Clay of Charlottesville; his siblings, Janet Lester of Charlottesville and Charles Shumaker of Scottsville; and his aunt Ruby Browning of Charlottesville. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rodney's name may be made to a charity of choice.
