It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Dear Moon (Scottsville, Virginia), born in Washington, District of Columbia, who passed away on July 17, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Richard Douglas and Beatrice Milstead Dear; her children, Larré Holladay (Douglas) of Atlanta, Ridie Otey (David) of Williamsburg, Virginia, Cary III (Leigh) of Charlottesville and Richard (Lori) of Davidson; her sister Patricia Hillerman (Robert) of Tucker, Georgia.; and also, N. Brooks Graebner of Burlington and Emily G. Tillotson of Rapid City. She was also cherished by her 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
