She was predeceased by: her parents, James Benson and Myrtle Lee Ripley (Hurt); her husband Herman Butler Napier; her son Charles Herman Napier; her brother Kenneth Benson Ripley; and her great grandchild Michelle Leighty.
She is survived by: her son James Lewis Napier (Lisa) of Scottsville; her sisters, Edith Ripley Easton of Farmville, Doris Ripley Overcash of Boyd and Tavern; her daughter-in-law Gwen Newton Napier of Scottsville; her grandchildren, Michael Napier (Jessica), Andrea Snoddy (Jeff) and Ryan Napier; and her great grandchildren, Alexia (Tyler), Michael, Hayden, Lucas, Brandy, Christian, Ayshia, Damien and Sylinah. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
