With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lucy Eleanora Thompson (Scottsville, Virginia), born in Buckingham, Virginia, who passed away on April 26, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Lucy shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Lucy farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Waverly Yancey and Sally Yancey; her husband Joseph F. Thompson; and her son William James Thompson, II. She is survived by: her daughters, Sue Patterson (Ricky) and Betty J. Marshall (Floyd Suddarth); and her close friends, Jake Wagner and Jeff Suddarth, II. She is also survived by six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
