It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillian Hamshar of Scottsville, Virginia, who passed away on September 21, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Allen and Mary Elizabeth Herndon (Hurt); her husband Eugene Warren Hamshar; her son John R Hamshar; and her siblings, Lindsay Herndon and Leona Engram.
She is survived by: her children, Lynda H. Baptist (Ed), Roger E. Hamshar (Renae), Kenneth W. Hamshar (Diane), Joyce H. Moore (Wayne), Deborah E. Bergeron (Thomas), Gloria H. Poindexter (William), Jacqueline H. Augsburger, Jennifer H. Koczan (Danny), Cynthia H Knight (Jarrell) and Andrew L. Hamshar (Joyce Ann); her siblings, Leroy Herndon, Floyd Herndon and Etta H. Collins; and her close friend Wilda. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren; and many, many nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
