He was predeceased by: his parents, Flavil Kermit and Louise Jones Lance; and his sisters, Toni Turner and Elaine Bailey. He is survived by: his sons, James Lance (Cindy) of Scottsville and Michael Lance (Peggy) of Martinsburg, WV; his grandchildren, Robert and April; and his great grandchildren, Gavin, Caden, Kenneth and Kinleigh.
