He was predeceased by: his parent William Ira. He is survived by: his parent Julia Etta Wheeler (Goin); his wife Elma Lucinda Baird Wheeler; and his children, Pamela Wheeler Breeden (Ted), Sue Wheeler Ruddock, Roberta Lynn Keithley and George B. Wheeler, Jr. (Alison). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
