She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandparents, Day and Frances'; her parents, James Banks and Annie Marie Banks; her son Herman (Booney); her grandson Dwayne Smith; her siblings, Thomas James, Elisha, Leslie, Fletcher Banks and Virginia Stanton; her children, Franklin Dovel (Vickie) of Goochland, Virginia, Elenor Smith (Wayne) of Louisa, Gloria Smith (Larry) of Fork Union, Carolyn Brooks (Vernado) of Richmond, Francine Chambers of Charlottesville, Virginia. and Elwood Stanton (Harriet) of Richmond, VA; her daughter-in-law Yvonne Chambers Eldridge; and also Sabrina Bradley. She was also cherished by three brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, eighteen grandchildren; twenty five great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
