We are sad to announce that on July 8, 2021, at the age of 89, Bertie Via of Scottsville, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sam Via and Lucinda Via; her husband Robert Via; her close friend Lindsay Martin; her son Carl Lee Via; and her son-in-law Mike Ponton.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Ponton of Arrington, Naomi Adcock (Melvin) of Scottsville and Robert Via (Ann) of Scottsville; her sister Mary Bishop of South Carolina; and her daughter-in-law Beverly Via of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
