He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Hunter Pierce and Eva Gladys Pierce (Carter). He is survived by: his wife Brenda Elaine Pierce (Turner); his sons, Hunter Pierce (Laurie), Scott Pierce (Anna), Neil Pierce (Stacie), Lee Pierce (Katie) and Allan Turner (Kay); and his siblings, Roslyn Bumpus, Joyce Nuttall (Harry), Gloria Johnson and Bryan Pierce. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
