He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Barker and Annie Tuck Barker; his wife Mary Whitt Barker; and his siblings, Dorothy B. Wilmouth, Gracie B. Guill, James Barker and Elmer Barker.
He is survived by: his children, Robert A. Barker, Jr (Vickie), Darryl Barker (Donna) and Brenda D. Barker; and his grandchildren, Robert A. Barker, III, Ashley B. Fisher, Whitney A. Barker, Christie B. Lewis, Craig B. Barker and Courtney B. Glass. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
