It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Minnie Forbes Smith (Scottsburg, Virginia), who passed away on April 20, 2020, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Reese Forbes and Beulah Hoarsley Forbes; and her brothers, Dan Forbes and James Forbes. She is survived by: her sons, Rick Earl Smith (Libby) of Chapel Hill, NC, Michael Warren Smith (Gloria) of Garner, NC, Christopher Duff Smith (Glenna) of Ft. Collins, CO and Jeffrey Parks Smith (Peggy) of Scottsburg, VA. She is also survived by 9 Grandchildren; and 9 Great Grandchildren.
